</TD></TR><TR><TD vAlign=top colSpan=3>Vikings coach Brad Childress says he's noticed significant improvement from Adrian Peterson in the passing game since camp began.
Peterson is the game's best running back, but not the most complete back. Childress, though, says A.P.'s made strides in terms of his "pass blocking, route running, and his comfort level catching passes out of the backfield." Peterson's PPR value will take a major leap if his reception total improves.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>We've heard that Peterson has improved his receiving skills, but there's no way he's as good as Chester Taylor out of the backfield. We don't doubt that he feels more comfortable coming out of the backfield, and that could lead to a jump in the 21 catches he had last season.

Adrian Peterson - RB - Vikings Adrian Peterson limited, will play
Expect him to practice in full Friday. Peterson says he feels "great" and has expressed no concerns whatsoever about his ankle. Keep him in the lineup even in a tough matchup against the Steelers. October 22

He is listed as questionable for Week 12.
Peterson was "limited" in practice earlier this week because of an ankle issue, but Childress says A.P.'s legs are as fresh as they've been all year. We don't know the extent of Peterson's illness, but a routine flu bug almost certainly wouldn't prevent him from suiting up for Week 12. Peterson should be healthy enough to start against the Bears' No. 23 rush defense.

Adrian Peterson - RB - Vikings Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell plans to emphasize the running game this week after establishing season lows in rushing attempts (14) and yards (41) last week.
The issue is also at the heart of the Brett Favre/Brad Childress clash, with Favre checking out of run plays in order to pass. Monday night's game is setting up nicely as a potential breakout performance for Adrian Peterson, after going a career-high five straight games without a 100-yard effort. December 25 - 9:55 a.m. ET
